Navigraph is a Swedish SaaS company that provides the international flight simulation community with flight planning tools, navigation data, and aeronautical charts used in professional aviation. Our 1.7 million registered users care deeply about realism, procedures, and getting the details right.

We have a modern tech stack for our main apps based on TS, React and React Native, and also specialized GIS data pipelines and simulator integrations based on Rust, all with a strong focus on usability and modern design. To make flight simulation as realistic and immersive as possible by making data, software, and tools like those available to the aviation industry accessible for flight simulation gaming.

We're a team of 50+, including software developers, UX and graphic designers, data analysts, content producers, motion designers, and support specialists. What You’ll Do

As Engineering Manager at Navigraph, you’ll lead and grow one of our two Software Development departments of currently 10-15 team members. You’ll manage and mentor our software developers, contributing to our technical and product strategy, and ensuring the delivery of your departments' high-quality, scalable solutions.

You’ll work closely with our Management team, your peers, Tech Leads, Product Owners as well as other teams at Navigraph who are maintaining our key products and projects. You will play a vital role in developing our passionate and inclusive culture.

• Lead and Mentor: Inspire, guide, and develop a team of talented software developers incl. Tech Leads.

• Foster a Positive and Inclusive Team Environment: where individuals feel valued, empowered, and motivated to perform at their best.

• Promote Cross-functional Collaboration: ensuring seamless communication and alignment with other departments.

• Resource & Team Planning: Ensure workload distribution across teams, support internal mobility, and help resolve staffing challenges.

• Conflict Resolution & Coaching: Address team dynamics, resolve conflicts, and ensure developers feel supported.

• Enable a Creative Learning Culture: Encourage innovation and experimentation, cross-collaboration, and knowledge sharing with continuous feedback and reflection, ensuring everyone contributes to their best level. 

• New Talent: Collaborate with management regarding hiring decisions and undertake recruitment processes. 

• Onboarding: Oversee onboarding and mentorship for new employees.   

Who You Are

• A strong leader with a passion for team development best practices. 

• Proven experience in people management

• Technical background with experience as a tech lead, architect, software developer, engineering manager or similar role.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with both technical and non-technical team members.

• Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with problem-solving.

• Experience in scaling teams. You’ve worked in agile or hybrid-agile environments and have built high-performing teams. 

• Experienced in agile development

• We have a diverse team. English and an understanding of cultural differences will be crucial.
